Fueled by Loss, Driven by Purpose: Big Jon’s Emotional Return and His Fight for a Place on the Mainstream Stage

Big Jon has been steadily reclaiming his place in music since making his return to the industry. After releasing his EP on January 1st, 2025, he spent the year performing at small open-mic venues throughout Baltimore. Alongside his live shows, he appeared on podcasts, received written media coverage, and was interviewed on the internet radio station Chicago 77.3.
Throughout the year, Big Jon continued to create new music, including Level Up, recorded at Lounge Studios in New York City on September 3rd, 2025.
In October, he began recording additional tracks in Baltimore, starting with Don’t Mess With the Flock. The diss track addressed the Baltimore Ravens organization, criticizing poor performances and playoff failures during the Lamar Jackson era. The song was released on November 5th, 2025.
He followed with the release of Persona on December 24th, 2025, and is now preparing to release The Flames sometime in January. While continuing to drop new music, Big Jon has been working hard to find a manager or agent who can help push his career forward. His long-term vision includes touring across the country and collaborating with major artists.
Big Jon’s passion has been deeply rooted in honoring his family, particularly his mother. In October, his grandmother passed away at 89 years old due to kidney failure. After her funeral in November, he committed to continuing his journey to make her proud.
Looking toward 2026, Big Jon plans to travel to Los Angeles in March to record Reload, while continuing to perform and seek new opportunities without slowing down.
